What's new
The big changes, newest first. Small fixes and tuning are left out.
More Double in the daily · from 11 October 2026
- Tuesday is now always a small 4×4 Double, a friendly way into the game's best idea.
- Wednesday leans on Double too, with 6×6 and 4×4 boards, plus a 4×4 Latin.
- The first time a day brings a Double, Latin or Scramble board, a short note explains it.
The quilt gets sewn · 10 October 2026
- Fixed squares now come stitched, following each shape's own outline. Your guesses are loose patches.
- Solve a puzzle and the whole quilt is sewn, stitch by stitch like a sewing machine, then the confetti. The picture you share is sewn too.
- Stitching is its own switch in Settings, on by default, and it works with any of the marks (Colour, Shapes, Patterns or Quilt), so you can turn the stitches off while you play.
Your streak is a brain · 10 October 2026
- The brain grows with the hardest day in your streak, from Monday's small brain to Sunday's big one, and turns bronze, silver and gold as a streak runs into a second week.
- The calendar shows your streak and your best streak ever, and tapping the brain explains how it works.
- When a streak ends, the brain shatters the next time you open the game.
Easier to fix a mistake · 9 to 10 October 2026
- Bookmark sits in the row of helpers. Come back to it and the first guess you made after it flashes, so you don't make the same mistake twice.
- Undo and Reset moved into the same row, and a small ⓘ explains every button.
- Tap one of your own guesses with nothing selected and it clears. A finished colour can be tapped again too.
- Help now has Tutorial and Stats tabs, and the result of a puzzle appears right under the board.
Levels · 6 to 9 October 2026
- 2,000 levels across twenty worlds, with new ideas arriving one at a time and a tougher test at the end of every stage.
- Replay any finished level to beat your stars. Your first 3★ on a level also saves you a reveal.
- New players get a short welcome and a training run.
Sharing · 6 to 9 October 2026
- The picture you share is your real board, turned and with the marks swapped, so it never gives away the answer to the person you send it to.
- On a computer you can send it by Gmail or email straight from the share panel.
About the quilt · 6 October 2026
- The About page now tells the story of City Limits, the quilt that inspired the game.
